THE TOUR SCHEDULE
Day 1 Kazbegi
Transfer from the airport to the Kazbegi Rooms Hotel. The hotel has all you need for a great stay with its breathtaking view on snow-capped mountains, designer furniture, grand fireplace, indoor swimming pool, Georgian restaurant and casino.
Day 2. Kazbegi
You can take a breathtaking narrow mountainous road and stop at a Cross pass (2395 m above the sea). Then we will sea a legendary ancient Holy Trinity Church, build in XIV century on Gergeti Mountain 2200 m above the sea. You can have an amazing view of the peak of Kazbegi Mountain from here if the weather conditions are good.
Day 3 Trip from Kazbegi to Tbilisi
After breakfast we will start our mountainous journey to Tbilisi along the Georgian military road, which is considered as one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Along the way you will enjoy amazing views of Jinvali reservoir and visit Ananuri castle (XVI-XVII century castle complex of Aragvi Dukes). Also, you will have a stop next to the Friendship Arch in Kazbegi, which was built in 1983 in honor of the 200 years since the St.Georges’ treaty had been signed- in the name of the friendship between Russian and Georgian nations.

Day 4 Tbilisi
After a breakfast you will have a guided Old City tour, a walk in the historical center of Tbilisi. The Spirit of Old Tbilisi is everywhere – in old two-story houses with carved wooden balconies, in grapevines, which cover the walls of the buildings, in small Georgian patios with its unique atmosphere. You will visit VI century church Anchiskhati, the Metekhi temple of the left embankment, and an ancient citadel Narikala, which laid the foundation of Tbilisi city in the IV century, walk in Sulfur Baths area and enjoy the Puppet Play on the clock tower of Rezo Gabriadze’s Puppet Theatre.
Then you will attend a cooking class in one of the best restaurants in town-“Tabla”. Our company has an exclusive access to its cooking master classes. You will bake Georgian bread “Puri” in a special oven “toneh”, make Khinkali and Khachpuri. You will understand the meaning of all these words at the hearty feast, where we will offer you to try the best Georgian dishes.
Day 5. Mtskheta
After a breakfast you will visit an old capital of Georgia – Mtskheta, fully refurbished city with European style, and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (XI century), where Holy Coat of Jesus Christ and a piece of the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified are held.
Then we offer you to visit Djvari Monastery (“djvari” means “cross” in Georgian), which overlook Mtskheta and have an amazing view on the confluence of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. According to the legend, Saint Nino erected the first cross in Georgia exactly on the place where the church stands.
Next stop in our journey is a wine factory “Chateau Mukhrani”, which is situated between the Caucasian and Trialetian mountain ridges, 35km away from Tbilisi in the region of Kartli (Eastern Georgia). There you will enjoy a walk in the vineyards, visit the wine factory and old wine cellars. Your visit will be accompanied with a recital of wine making and unique technologies of Georgian wine production and with a wine tasting of four types of wine and appetizers. Chateau Mukhrani produces eight different sorts of wine, each of them having its unique flavor and taste. The Chateau is the symbol of the Mukhrani valley and the best Mukhrani wine.
Day 6. Uplistsikhe and Borjomi
Guided trip to Uplistsikhe – an ancient cave town, carved in the rock, one of the first cities on the territory of Georgia. Emerged at the end of II-beginning of the Ist centuries B.C.; survived many recessions and successes, but was eventually abandoned in the XIX century and is considered an archeological site. Uplistsikhe is one of the most important remains of Georgian culture; its uniqueness lies in its structure, which saved many remains of architectural and cultural constructions built during several millennia. It contained more than 700 caves, but only 150 caves survived to these days.
You will continue your journey to Borjomi-famous resort and homeland to the most famous Georgian mineral water-Borjomi. The nature is breathtaking with its healing climate and pure mountainous air. There were seven stone baths found at the beginning of the 20th century, which dated to the first millennia B.C.; the mineral water was used for bathing in old times. Later the springs were abandoned and only in 1829 the soldiers of Khersonian battalion found a warm mineral spring in the woods. In 1850 the park of mineral waters is created and four years later the first factory, royal residence, parks and hotel construction had taken place. In 1894 Michael Romanov built a factory in the park of mineral springs, which gave a rise to the world popularity of the water. Healing properties of Borjomi mineral springs are based on its unique chemical composition; it heals gastrointestinal, liver and metabolic disturbances.

Day 7 Vardzia and Rabat
After a breakfast you will visit Vardzia-a cave monastery complex of XII-XIII centuries located in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. There are more than 600 rooms excavated from the slopes of the mountain; churches, baths, libraries, canteens chapels are placed 50m deep in the mountain and stretched out 900m along the mountain. Originally, Vardzia was built as a monastery and a fortress to protect the land from southern invaders. Presumably, the monastery comprised of 3000 massive caves and accommodated around 50000 warriors.
Then you will visit the town of Akhaltsikhe, where a medieval fortress Rabat is located. The fortress was found in 1578 when Akhaltsikhe was conquered by the Ottoman Empire. In 2011, with the financial support of the government of Georgia, the massive reconstruction of the castle Rabat had begun; old buildings had been restored and new modern ones had been built.
Day 8. Tskaltubo and Batumi
After a breakfast you will be taken to the Prometheus Grotto. Geologists found the entrance to the cave in 1983, but the Grotto was opened only in 2011 to the public with a help of the Georgian government. The temperature in the caves is +14 all year round.
